Who is Jesus?
He’s not just a name we sing.
Not a symbol of religion.
Not one figure among many in the story of history.
He is the story.
He is the eternal Word.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” —John 1:1
Before time began, Jesus was.
Before creation existed, He was already there—ruling, reigning, eternal.
“Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made.” —John 1:3
He placed every star.
Filled every ocean.
Formed every mountain range and every grain of sand.
He gives us our very breath and sustains it.
“In Him all things hold together.” —Colossians 1:17
He Is the Fullness of God
Jesus is not a partial glimpse of divinity.
He is the image of the invisible God (Colossians 1:15).
The radiance of God’s glory.
The exact representation of His being (Hebrews 1:3).
He is not one part of God—He is God.
Majestic in holiness.
Unmatched in power.
Limitless in beauty.
“His voice is like the sound of rushing waters… His eyes like flames of fire… His face shines like the sun in all its brilliance.” —Revelation 1:14–16
He is the Alpha and the Omega.
The Beginning and the End.
The First and the Last.
“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing!” —Revelation 5:12
Every throne, kingdom, and authority exists through Him and for Him (Colossians 1:16).
He is above all, beyond all, and before all.
Yet… He Came for Us
And still—this King came for you.
In all His majesty, He chose humility.
In all His power, He chose to serve.
In all His holiness, He chose to draw near to sinners.
He walked dusty roads.
He touched the unclean.
He washed feet.
He was betrayed, rejected, and crucified.
He took our place.
“But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” —Romans 5:8
He suffered.
He bled.
He died.
And then—He rose.
What He’s Done for Us
Because of Jesus, your past no longer defines you.
“The blood of Jesus… purifies us from all sin.” —1 John 1:7
“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.” —2 Corinthians 5:17
“God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.”—2 Corinthians 5:21
He didn’t just forgive you—He gave you a new name.
You’re not just free—you’re family.
“See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God—and so we are.”—1 John 3:1
He’s put His Spirit in you.
“The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.” —Romans 8:16
You are no longer a stranger.
You are a son, a daughter, an heir of the Kingdom.
And now—He sends you.
He Is Worthy
So now what?
He is worthy of our whole lives.
He is worthy of our obedience, our surrender, our devotion.
“As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” —John 20:21
“Go and make disciples of all nations…” —Matthew 28:19
“Whoever claims to live in Him must live as Jesus did.” —1 John 2:6
We’re called to carry His love, preach His gospel, and walk in His truth.
To live with the same grace and courage and conviction that marked His life.
So… Who Is Jesus?
He’s higher than you can comprehend.
Closer than you ever expected.
More faithful than you’ll ever deserve.
He’s the King of kings.
The Redeemer of your soul.
The Savior of the world.
The Friend of sinners.
The One who came for you, died for you, and now lives in you.
This is Jesus.
And there is no one like Him.
