Live For Jesus | School of Transformation
Let’s be real—living for Jesus today isn’t easy. The world is full of distractions, temptations, and noise pulling us in every direction. But the truth is, Jesus' words—His red-letter teachings—are still the foundation for life. They call us to radical discipleship, challenge us to live differently, and show us how to walk in His ways every single day.
The Call to Radical Discipleship
Jesus didn’t invite us into a casual, comfortable faith—He called us to go all in. If we take His words seriously, we can’t just add Him to our lives like a side dish. He is the main thing. He tells us:
“Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.” (Luke 9:23)
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” (Matthew 6:33)
“If you love me, keep my commands.” (John 14:15)
These aren’t just good ideas—they are the foundation of a life fully surrendered to Jesus. Following Him means letting go of personal agendas, embracing His way of life, and putting Him first in everything.
Find Your People
No one follows Jesus well on their own. Discipleship happens in community, with people who will challenge, encourage, and sharpen you. If you want to grow in your faith, you need to surround yourself with others who are chasing after Jesus too.
Seek Accountability – Find people who won’t let you stay stagnant in your faith.
Find a Mentor – Learn from someone who has been walking this road longer than you have.
Be Part of a Christian Community – Stay connected with believers who will build you up and keep you on track.
You need people in your corner, pushing you to be the kind of disciple Jesus calls us to be.
Live Like a Disciple
Jesus doesn’t just want us to believe in Him—He wants us to live like Him. That means:
Read and Apply His Words – The red letters of Scripture aren’t just for reading; they’re for doing.
Make Your Faith Your Lifestyle – Let your daily choices reflect Jesus' teachings.
Be a Light – Let His love, grace, and truth shape how you interact with others.
It’s one thing to know what Jesus said; it’s another to live it out. Being a disciple means making His teachings the standard for how we live.
Build Spiritual Habits That Last
Faith doesn’t grow on its own—it takes work. To stay strong in your walk with Jesus, build spiritual disciplines into your daily life:
Prayer – Stay connected to God; talk to Him, listen to Him, rely on Him.
Fasting – Practice self-denial to draw closer to God.
Serving – Love others through action, just like Jesus did.
These aren’t just checkboxes—they are lifelines that keep you connected to Jesus and growing in your faith.
Are You Ready to Go All In?
Living for Jesus as a red-letter Christian isn’t just about knowing the right things—it’s about living them. It’s about choosing Him every day, surrounding yourself with the right people, and making space for Him in every area of life. It’s not always easy, but it’s always worth it.
